WorldCard Mobile

Q13:I selected “Keep Local side data” as sync conflict handle rules. However, when I incidentally deleted Gmail Contacts, the contacts in Card Holder’s Google Contacts are deleted too after sync.

Answer:

Sync conflict handle rules only apply to contacts which are modified in both Google Contacts (WorldCard Mobile) and Gmail Contacts (your Gmail account). When the contact is edited on both sides, you can decide how sync is done. If you didn't change the local contact but you deleted a contact in Gmail Contacts, there is no conflict, so the local contact is deleted after sync.

For example, 1) Go to Settings, tap sync conflict handle rules.

2) Then you will see following options:

A. Keep latest modified data This is the default setting. The lasted modified data will be used to replace previous record. For example, if a contact in Google Contacts (WorldCadr Mobile) is edited recently, the same contact in Gmail Contacts will be replaced.

B. Keep local side data The contact in Card Holder’s Google Contacts will replace the contact in Gmail contacts.

C. keep remote side data The contact in Gmail Contacts will replace the contact in Card Holder Google Contacts.

[Note]
The sync conflict handle rules only applies when a contact is edited in both sides, Google Contacts and Gmail Contacts. If a contact is only edited in one side, the edited result will replace the old record in the other side. For example, a contact is edited in Card Holder’s Google Contacts. After sync, the same contact in Gmail Contacts will be replaced.
